Solar PV
Consider the relationship between generation, daytime consumption, site constraints and export arrangements.
ENERGYPLEX ENGINEERING & PROJECTS
Solar, battery storage and electrical projects should solve a defined problem. Test technical suitability and commercial value before committing to equipment.
FEASIBILITY FIRST
Generation, storage and load management interact with your tariff and the way the site operates. A technically possible project is not automatically a commercially sound investment.
A scoped assessment can consider the load profile, existing assets, site constraints, network requirements, backup objectives and financial assumptions.
Specialist professional design, certification and statutory sign-off are assigned to appropriately qualified practitioners where required.
Consider the relationship between generation, daytime consumption, site constraints and export arrangements.
Assess the operating objective, usable capacity, dispatch, losses, degradation, warranty and integration.
Examine operating changes or equipment alternatives alongside the supply, network and process implications.
Energyplex’s responsibility is agreed project by project. Advice, referral and principal contracting are different arrangements.
A defined referral or procurement role, with any fee and the supplier’s responsibilities explained.
Feasibility, technical specification, competitive procurement or project management within agreed authority.
Contracted installation or delivery where the project fits available capability, capacity and an agreed scope.
Investment assessments should state the tariff, usage, generation and cost assumptions being used. Battery models also need to account for operating constraints, efficiency, degradation and warranty limits.
Backup capability depends on the design, equipment and electrical configuration. It should be specified against the loads and operating duration the business needs.
Forecast savings and payback are estimates. Their sensitivity to changed inputs needs to be understood before a project proceeds.
