Energyplex is a Gawler-based renewable energy business with experience spanning solar PV, battery storage and ongoing plant care.

Our integrated energy direction connects that practical perspective with bill analysis, procurement and investment decisions for commercial, industrial and agricultural customers.

The initial geographic focus is Adelaide, northern Adelaide, Gawler, Barossa and the Mid North, with other locations considered where scope and service capability support the engagement.

LEADERSHIP & TECHNICAL DIRECTION

Steven Zilm

Managing Director & Chief Technical Officer

Steven brings more than 40 years of electrical industry experience, including over 15 years working directly with solar PV and energy storage.

His career began with an ETSA electrical apprenticeship and spans electricity generation, high voltage, industrial construction, defence and commercial contracting. At Energyplex, he connects that practical background with solar, battery storage, distributed energy resources and ongoing asset care.

Steven has conducted independent solar compliance inspections under the Commonwealth Clean Energy Regulator inspection program since 2015. His work includes investigating system faults and installation defects, assessing technical evidence and developing practical rectification strategies.

Earlier work with Powerdirect in SME and enterprise electricity markets adds a commercial perspective on electricity usage and billing. It supports Energyplex’s approach to considering the energy contract, operating loads and technical infrastructure together.
